Ever since I have driven a car, I have always had a Creek tag and loved showing off my Creek pride. I dont want to go only to find out that I am missing another document or there is another document that is needed to be updated in order to get my tag. At this point, I am nervous about making another trip to Okmulgee. Disclose all information required of Creek Citizens so they may receive the benefits of your services. The 2½ hour fruitless trips I've made to the tag office, I could have spent, studying and being productive. As a full-time grad student in medical program, I dont have much time to spare. I just wish that the specifics would be disclosed on the website and in the calls prior to the trip to Okmulgee. Anytime I have ever gone to the tag office, the ladies have always been nice and respectful. This is another case where it would have been great to know the specifics prior to taking another 45-minute trip to Okmulgee. For the second time, I could not get my license plate because my car title was a “certified copy” and not THE title or a duplicate. Later in the week, I took all documents to the tag office once again. Therefore another trip to Okmulgee was required. I did get my ID updated at the Citizenship Office across town, but the tag office closed by the time I was done. Definitely would have been nice to have known this before hand because the tag office was about to close in the next hour. Unfortunately, once I got to the tag office, I was told one of the required documents, my Creek ID, was old and needed to be updated. Upon being told the same list of documents on both days, I then gathering my documents and headed to the tag office. Prior to driving the 45-minute one way trip to Okmulgee from Tulsa, I decided to call the tag office on two separate occasions over two consecutive days to inquire about documents needed to get a license plate. The hoops and hurdles one has to navigate through is quite the obstacle when dealing with the Muscogee Creek Tag Agency. Take some pride in your community and work, please. Not even adding this sight outside the office. Either have someone go supervise or hold these people up to some standard rather than allowing them to guide themselves. More than a couple minutes to even SET AN APPOINTMENT which will already be weeks out is too much. They are not the most helpful or accommodating. I understand protocol around Covid19 but I also don't understand how supposedly helping your tribe has become an entitlement to the workers in these specific offices. I don't understand how som ething so simple has become such a hassle. So, first of all to set an appointment out weeks is a joke when you pull up to your appointment and it takes 5 minutes to “holler” at someone in your office if they talked to “so and so” on the phone. Umm…as the receptionist or person working in the office, do you not have a list of appointments for the day?! Then you finally get someone that then wants you to come to the door “so she can check to make sure you have all the necessary documents” before she'll see you.
